BRITE Centre - Braunstone

The BRITE Centre (Braunstone Reading, Information Technology and Entertainment), includes an IT suite, community rooms and spaces, children's play and care facilities, a function hall, customer services, adult learning facilities and a café.

Braunstone Library

Free and easy for anyone to join. Over 10,000 books free to borrow. Free use of computers and the internet. Weekly DVD hire. Talking Book hire. Late night and Sunday opening. Regular events and more!

Community Services: 0116 229 2589. Mon - Thu: 9am–8.30pm. Fri: 9am-5pm. Sat as required

Meeting room facilities at BRITE Centre
Venue for meetings, weddings, courses and conferences. Meeting rooms and a large function room for hire (cheaper rates for local residents in the BCA area). Catering can be provided. Full event facilities and equipment available, including white-board, TV, video and overhead projectors set up to your requirements. Training/Catering kitchen available for hire.

Enjoy a fine selection of hot and cold food and drinks made to order, to eat in or take away.

Adult classes at BRITE centre
Daytime and evening courses to suit a range of abilities and interests, including: cookery, computing for beginners, flower arranging, Classroom Assistants (Level 2), painting & drawing, Childcare (Level 1), ‘Trace your Family Tree’, English classes for speakers of other languages. Courses for the whole family to learn together: Family IT & Family Fun with Food.

Playgroup: Early education & play activities, weekdays: 9.15am - 11.45am

‘Stay & Play’: For preschool children & their families, Tuesdays: 1pm - 3pm  

For childminders & the children they care for, Thursdays: 1pm - 3pm

Help with enquiries about services offered by the Council, including: Housing benefits, rent, grants, council tax, waste & recycling. Payments can be taken for services, including: car park fines, replacement bus passes.
