Leicester Libraries Home Library Service

  • Do you live in the City and find it difficult to get to the library?

  • Do you know anybody else - friends, relatives, neighbours etc. who may need help and would benefit from these services?

  • Please let us know and pass their details on to us.

Leicester Libraries Home Library Service can help by driving you from your home to your library on the library minibus.

The minibus is equipped with wheelchair facilities and a tail-lift. It covers 27 different routes over a four week period. Assistants are on hand to help carry books and escort users.

The following libraries are visited:

Leicester Libraries Home Library Service can also help by delivering books to your door. You can borrow books from a wide range of stock including large print, talking books and books in other languages.  There is no limit to the number of times the service can be used.

All these services are FREE.
For more details on the service, contact Gill Mouncer at Beaumont Leys Library on: (0116) 299 5465.
