About The Project

New Parks Centre Library is a £1.5 million Big Lottery and City Council funded project which will make a real difference to the lives of local people.

 

The Centre is sited on Aikman Avenue, in the heart of the community next to shops, local housing office and bus stops. The new building includes:

 

  • A modern library with new books

  • A community café

  • FREE computer & internet access

  • Training kitchen

  • ICT training room

  • Flexible community

    space

  • Sound and film recording room

Wednesday 21st April 2010

Library Open Day (with guest appearance from Rosemary Conley)

 

April 2010

Adult learning courses start

Arts & crafts programme for young people starts
