About the Schools Recruitment Service

Schools in Leicester City will be using the Schools Recruitment Service to post vacancies and manage their communications with applicants. The new Service puts the whole application process online for jobseekers, from searching for vacancies and receiving alerts to applying for jobs and arranging interview times. Jobseekers are able to apply on the system for all types of school-based vacancies. So if you have passion, enthusiasm, and of course love working with children, this is the place for you to find your next job.

It's free and allows you to:

  • Apply for jobs online
  • Manage your own personal account area
  • Save job applications part-way through and return to them later
  • Receive reminders for part-completed job applications before the closing date
  • Receive job alerts by email or SMS texts
  • Let education employers search against your interests, experience and qualifications, and contact you about potential vacancies.

Once you have registered on the Schools Recruitment Service website you are provided with your own personal account area. This account area will store your searches, any application background details and messages posted to you.  This provides you with just one place to hold all the information you need about your applications for school jobs, and retains a history of your applications.

Completing new applications for jobs is quick and easy, with the relevant sections in the application form automatically filled in from your personal account (e.g. your name, address, qualifications and employment history), making the application process simple.

With over 8,000 schools preparing to upload their jobs on the Schools Recruitment Service, new vacancies will start to appear so keep checking the site.  Register here to create your personal account area and start planning your next career move.
