The Dog Warden service deals with complaints regarding roaming dogs that can cause a wide range of complaints such as:
Destruction to property i.e. flowerbeds, scavenging in dustbins etc.
Roaming into neighbours gardens.
Fouling in neighbours gardens
Initially these complaints are dealt with informally through verbal advice to the dog owner regarding the matter and followed up with a letter.
However, should the problem recur, then it may be dealt with by formal action such as Abatement Notices and Prosecutions.
