Leicester City Council is a registered centre for the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health’s (CIEH) food safety qualifications.
This course is intended for managers and proprietors of food businesses, and for those people who wish to become trainers in food hygiene. It is run over 6 days with a 2 ½ hour exam and 2 hours to complete a controlled assignment on a separate day. As part of the course two days are scheduled in to work on a scoping document which is used to complete the controlled assignment.

It is recommened that as a minimum the Level 2 Award in Food safety in catering is obtained prior to enroling on this course.
In some cases the Level 3 Award will also be beneficial prior to enroling.
