It is a legal requirement to have suitably qualified first aiders as stated in “The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. These regulations state what type of first aid provision and the number of first aiders that should be available in every workplace.
The Health and Safety Executive is reviewing all First Aid qualifications and the old Appointed Persons qualification has been changed to “Emergency First Aid at Work.
As a training centre we offer a range of courses and from November we will be offering this brand new qualification.
This course is ideal for anyone and leads to a recognised qualification that has to be renewed every three years. The course includes incidents, accidents and injuries commonly occurring in a variety of businesses such as burns, scalds, slips, trips, allergies etc.
The course covers the following areas:

The course is delivered over one day.
All candidates are continually assessed by the trainer during the course and all successful candidates will be awarded an Emergency First Aid at Work certificate which lasts for a period of 3 years, along with a wallet sized plastic card detailing their qualifications.
