CIEH Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering

Leicester City Council is a registered centre for the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and offers the above qualification.

The course is intended for food handlers with supervisory roles. It is run over 3 days.

The course ends with a Multiple Choice Examination of 60 questions designed to test knowledge, understanding and application of food safety across the whole Level 3 award syllabus.

 

This examination is on a separate half day at the end of the course.

 

The content of the course includes: 

 

  • Introduction to Food Safety

  • Legislation

  • Implementing good food safety procedures

  • Contribution to Staff Training

  • Supervisory management

  • Temperature control (chilling,cooking)

  • Contamination control

  • Workplace and Equipment Design

  • Waste Disposal, Cleaning and Disinfection

  • Pest Control

  • Personal Hygiene of staff

  • Food Safety Management Tools

The course fee of £250 is fully inclusive of:

  • Tuition and examination.

    It is recommended that the Level 2 Award in Food safety in Catering is obtained prior to enroling on this course

Level 3 Refresher Course

If you have already done this course and would like to attend a Refresher Course then a course date has been set for Wednesday 21st March.
