Air Quality in Leicester
Although air quality in the city is relatively good, Leicester, like many other cities has a number of areas where levels of nitrogen dioxide breach the limits. These areas have been designated as Air Quality Management Areas and Leicester City Council has produced an Air Quality Action Plan to reduce levels of nitrogen dioxide across the city.
Our Actions
The team deal with contaminated land, either through the planning process when contaminated sites are redeveloped, or supervising the remedial treatment of Council owned sites where these present a danger to nearby residents.
