What is the Local Land Charges Register?
The Local Land Charges Register contains all of the Local Land Charge entries that have been registered against any properties or pieces of land in the city. The register consists of twelve parts and covers areas such as planning, financial charges and transfers of land. The Local Land Charges Department maintains the register and deals with requests for searches of it.
What is a Local Authority Search?
A Local Authority Search is a search of the Council’s records and consists of three sections.
The LLC1 Form reveals entries contained in the Local Land Charges Register which affect the property or piece of land being searched on.
The CON29R Form is a list of standard questions on a range of subjects in support of the LLC1 Form. These questions have been agreed by Central Government, The Law Society and Local Authorities. The questions relate to information held by the Planning, Highways, Building Control, Pollution, Environmental Health, Health and Safety and Housing departments. As well as providing information on matters that already exist, this form may also provide information on matters that are under consideration and / or awaiting approval.
The CON29O Form is a list of optional questions which can be asked if specific additional information is required.
