The Holy Trinity Article 4 Direction was made by the City Council on 2nd December 1980, and approved by the Secretary of State for the Environment on 31st March 1981.
The effect of the Article 4 Direction is that a planning application must be submitted for:
- Extensions, improvements and external alterations such as new windows and doors.
- Construction of porches.
- The removal of gardens and garden walls to make a hardstanding for parking vehicles.
- The rendering or painting of the brickwork.
