The Spinney Hill Park Conservation Area Article 4 Direction was made by the City Council on 10th January 1983. The effect of the Article 4 Direction is that a planning application must be submitted for:

Extensions, improvements and external alterations such as new windows and doors.

Construction of porches.

The removal of gardens and garden walls to make a hardstanding for parking vehicles.

The erection or construction of gates, fences, walls or other means of enclosure.

The rendering, stone cladding or painting of the brickwork.
