Stoneygate Conservation Area was designated in September 1978, but the original area has since been extended. Stoneygate is by some way the largest conservation area in the City, and currently has an area of approximately 93.08 hectares. It is located to the south-east of Victoria Park, and incorporates much of London Road.
You can view a map of the Stoneygate Conservation Area, and view a Character Appraisal.
Some properties in Stoneygate Conservation Area are covered by an Article Four Direction, which limits the rights of householders to carry out work to their properties without planning permission.
We have prepared two walking tours of Victorian and Edwardian Stoneygate, which you can print off.
