Town Hall Square Conservation Area is Centred on Town Hall Square, and incorporates parts of Horsefair Street, Bowling Green Street and Bishop Street.
The Conservation Area was designated in March 1970. It was extended in 2005 to include the main Post Office, and buildings in Granby Street, but the boundaries were amended again in January 2007 when some land was transferred to the new Granby Street Conservation Area. The area is now 1.60 hectares.
