The Heritage Gateway is a project led by English Heritage, which is building a database of England's local and national historic environment records.
You can use this to search for any listed building or other historic environment feature in England. The project includes detailed search facilities, including via a map, and searches at least five national databases and some local ones. Search results come from Listed Buildings Online, Images of England, PastScape, ViewFinder, and the National Monuments Records Excavation Index.
