Images of England is a groundbreaking heritage initiative run by the National Monuments Record, the public archive of English Heritage. The project is making a photographic record of every Listed Building in England at the turn of the millennium to place on the internet. Each of the 370,000 images are being matched to accompanying written architectural descriptions of the buildings, to create what will be one of the largest free picture libraries in the world.
