Planning consent for advertisements
Advertisement Consent is needed to display many signs and advertisements on businesses and other buildings and land. Additionally, most advertisement hoardings require consent, although some hoardings displayed for a temporary period around building sites do not require consent.
You can make a application for Advertisement Consent online via the Planning Portal; or you can download paper forms (Form number 009)
from our Application Forms page.
For further information, view our page: Guidance and advice for advertisers.
Unauthorised advertisements
You can inform the council if you believe any advertisements, signs or hoardings may be unauthorised: contact the Customer Service Line.
The Council can also deal with illegal fly-posting: see Fly-posting removal.
