Site Allocations and Development Management Policies

Leicester City Council is investigating options for producing its Replacement Local Plan, by combining a review of the Core Strategy with new Site Allocations and Development Management Policies. 

The Site Allocations and Development Management Policies will need to be consistent with the reviewed Core Strategy. All forming the Replacement Local Plan it will be implemented and delivered by allocating sites for development and designating land for particular uses. The Replacement Local Plan will be accompanied by a new Proposals Map. 

Timetable 

The 'Call for Sites' was the first stage of production of Site Allocations. 

This ran from 29th November 2010 until 28th January 2011. Sites have been assessed and will be published for public consultation in 2012. There will also be public consultation on potential Development Management Policies.

Office Study

The City Council launched an Office Development opportunities Study with Lambert Smith Hampton on 11th May 2012, to assist its Core Strategy review of office provision in the City. 

Call For Office Sites

This is being combined with a new call for sites for office development. The call for office sites is between 11th May and 8th June 2012. Please use the forms below to submit new sites.

Please note that sites submitted via Lambert Smith Hampton do not need to be resubmitted here.
