The revised version of Planning Policy Guidance Note 17 required ALL Local Authorities to undertake robust assessments of needs and opportunities in respect of open space, sport and recreation.
 
Leicester City Council therefore commissioned Inspace Planning Ltd consultants to undertake an independent open space, sport and recreation audit and needs assessment for Leicester. The study has been completed in line with the requirements of Planning Policy Guidance Note 17 and its Companion Guide.
