This Supplementary Planning Document has now been superseded.
Following the production of a Development Framework by the Leicester Regeneration Company, the city council prepared a draft Supplementary Planning Document (SPD).
The aim of this document was to provide a legal planning framework for the development of the area and to relate our aspirations for Waterside with both national and city council planning policy.
The draft Waterside SPD was accepted by the Council's ruling cabinet on 5th December 2005 subject to further research into the following areas: revised highway infrastructure/network, and the method of calculating developer contributions, including affordable housing.
