Regeneration is a long term process of renewal. The regeneration process attempts to understand the needs of individuals and communities and promote opportunities that foster economic growth.
Part of this process includes changing the physical fabric of the city through major interventions that improve competitiveness and generate new iconic buildings through Economic Regeneration and project development.
Developing Leicester
Working with partners across the city, we've launched an initiative aimed at raising the regional, national and international profile of Leicester. Under the title ‘One Leicester’ this exciting initiative aims to provide a showcase for the many opportunities available for investors and visitors, as well as encouraging local pride in the city.
Cllr. Ross Willmott said: “This is one of the most exciting and encouraging years in Leicester’s recent history. This profile is vital if we are to attract further investment and growth for our city. We must continue to build on these opportunities if we are to create prosperity for the people of Leicester and create a city we can all be proud of. That is why we are now raising our game still further and, through one Leicester, aiming to make a much bigger impact."
