As of April 2009 Leicester Regeneration Company merged with the Leicester shire Economic Partnership to form Prospect Leicestershire.
The LRC Masterplan was originally launched in November 2002, and under Prospect Leicestershire a new refreshed plan will continue to deliver the vision for change in central Leicester over the next 10 years.
It's mission is to strengthen the city's economy and to improve its environment and image through targeted redevelopment. It is regeneration with a purpose - it examines the long-term needs of Leicester - its economy, jobs structure, housing supply, shopping and general image.
