Local Enterprise Partnership

The Sub-Regional partnership has agreed to form a Leicester & Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP). A proposal based on the sub-regional geography and our existing partnership was submitted to Government on the 6th September 2010.

The proposal sets out the geography, governance, scope and role of the LLEP. The sub-region functions as an integrated economic area and the LLEP will provide joint public and private leadership on the wide range of issues that impact on the local economy. The partnership will be a strategic commissioning body which will lead sustainable economic growth through investment in enterprise and innovation, employment and skills, housing, planning, infrastructure and the rural economy.

This is a great opportunity for local government, the business community and our other partners to come together and lead economic development and regeneration in this sub-region.

To find out how your organisation can get involved in the Leicester & Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership, please contact the LLEP Support Team on 0116 252 7312 or e-mail mandip.rai@leicester.gov.uk
