The EcoHouse was the UK’s first environmental show home and demonstrates how an existing house can be made more economical to run and reduce its carbon impact. The organic garden demonstrates how to both help improve your health and reduce the carbon impact of the food. The cafe is also open for teas and coffees in quiet pleasant surroundings. Opening times The house is open to the public: April to September Monday to Friday - from 11:15 am to 5:00 pm Saturday and Sunday - from10:30 am to 6:00 pm October to March Saturday and Sunday - from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm Groundwork Leicester and Leicestershire is a registered Charity (Charity number 703009) and seeks to raise funds to cover the cost of running the EcoHouse. Entrance charges Entrance charges for the show home are: Adults £2.50 Concessions and Children (3-18) £1.50 Family Ticket (2 adults/2 children) £6.50 Guided tours can be arranged for interested groups at a cost of £75 per group of 15 people.
