For years Leicester has experienced problems with unauthorised Gypsy and Traveller camps, which can have a big impact on local communities. Since 2011, the city council has been trying to resolve this issue by working to identify potential new authorised Gypsy and Traveller sites.
Work has now started on two new sites at Greengate Lane and Red Hill Way.
