If your bill shows you receive a reduction you must tell us of any changes that may affect your entitlement within 21 days of the change.
Fraud warning
We have been made aware of fraudsters operating in other areas where a customer was contacted by someone who promised her a £3,000 Council Tax refund if she paid £90 for an information pack.
The caller also asked for bank account details so that the ‘refund’ could be paid in to that bank account, and gave a company name of either Claims Court in London or County Court. The police are investigating the matter.
Please note that we never refund Council Tax directly to your bank account so we will never ask for these details for this purpose (we will only ask for your bank account details when we set-up a direct debit).
