Located in the Fosse Neighbourhood Centre on Mantle Road, Fosse Arts provides an exciting array of creative activities with excellent facilities for both individuals and groups.
We have three studios for ceramics, music and general arts activities. Everyone is welcome as previous experience is not necessary. We also have three studio spaces used by artists.
Fosse Arts work extensively with disability organisations and charities, delivering on statutory requirements for priority groups and providing tailored workshops suitable for those with physical or learning disabilities as well as those with mental health problems. Fosse Arts runs an exciting range of workshops in either ceramics, general arts, music or recording to suit all ages and abilities.
Ceramics Studio
The Ceramic Studio can accommodate all aspects of the ceramic process including throwing, hand building, slip casting, mould making and raku. All abilities are catered for and newcomers are welcome.
Our Open Studio sessions are open to everyone. These are drop-in sessions and no booking is required, so why not come along and find out more. A tutor is present at these sessions to advise and assist.
Sessions are held on:
Mondays: 1.00pm - 4.30pm
Tuesdays: 6.00pm - 8.00pm
Wednesdays: 1.00pm- 4.30pm
Thursdays: 6.00pm - 8.00pm

Music Studio
The studio caters for a variety of music and audio activities throughout the week ranging from recording and rehearsal sessions, jazz workshops on Thursday, disability workshops, training sessions, tuition and pre-production work.
Facilities include a soundcraft studio desk, Protools LE, softsynths and plug ins from Korg, Spectrasonics, Digidesign and Bomb Factory, a selection of keyboard modules, effects, processors, JBL monitors, a variety of microphones, amps, PA, including Spirit folio mixer and Wharfedale monitors,Yamaha electric piano and drum kit.
In addition to the above, the live/rehearsal room can comfortably accommodate up to 12 musicians. The opening times are flexible and can reflect individual need. We are happy to discuss any specific requirements and project needs.
We currently have vacancies at the Music Studio on Monday and Wednesday evenings any time between 3.30pm-9.30pm, for groups looking for space for band rehearsal. Call the Music Studio Coordinator if you would like more information.

General Art Studio
The Art Studio provides a friendly and relaxing environment for beginners and those with more experience. The Art Studio holds weekly classes open to everyone:
Painting and Drawing Class
Mondays 10.30am-12.30pm, 1.30pm-3.30pm
and 6.30pm-9pm
Thursdays 10am-12pm and 1pm-3pm
