Sunday 3rd June - 12-5pm - Diamond Jubilee Big Lunch
Alongside celebrations across the nation Leicester are holding a special Diamond Jubilee Big Lunch at the Big Screen. Bring your friends, family and a picnic and join in all the fun of an old fashioned street party as the magnificent jubilee flotilla is shown on the screen.

Monday 4th June - 6:30-11pm - Diamond Jubilee Evening Concert Relay
As part of a weekend of celebrations across the City to make the Queens Diamond Jubilee come down to the Big Screen and enjoy a fantastic concert for all the family. As some of the best acts in the world come together to create a magical evening to remember. Live from Buckingham palace with acts from Tom Jones, Sir Elton John and Sir Paul McCartney to Jessie Jay and JLS as well as classical pianist Lang Lang there really will be something for anyone. 
The Big Screen, a partnership between Leicester City Council, BBC and LOCOG, based in the city centre, will be at the heart of Leicester's 2012 Olympic Games activity. The screen shows all the up-to-date information about Leicester including the best of the BBC news, weather and sport. The screen hosts live opera and concerts, sport, interactive games, events, short films by local film makers, artistic pieces and videos from local bands.
