Eddi Reader

Eddi Reader playing guitar
Acclaimed singer songwriter Eddi Reader will be headlining this year's award winning Castle Park Heritage and Arts Festival with a special show at Leicester Cathedral.

Reader, whose band Fairground Attraction topped the charts with the song Perfect in 1988, will perform at the Cathedral on Monday August 31st.

Since the early 1980’s Eddi Reader has helped to define the landscape in which folk artists and singer-songwriters navigate. Her incomparable voice and positive outlook have been a much loved fixture in the British music scene since her band. After Fairground Attraction's breakup, Reader ventured onto a solo career, to the delight of both fans and critics, most recently her internationally acclaimed release, ‘The Songs Of Robert Burns’. She last performed at Leicester Cathedral in 2003 before a sell-out audience.

Eddi Reader is at Leicester Cathedral on Monday August 31st at 8.00pm. Tickets cost £18.00 and are available from The Guildhall, Guildhall Lane, Leicester.
