Diwali Day took place on Saturday 17th October. There was entertainment on Cossington Street Recreation Ground, that included a cultural programme on stage which started at 6.45pm and concluded with a spectacular fireworks display at 8.30pm.
In the interests of public safety, members of the public are asked not to bring fireworks to the celebrations. Both the City Council and the Emergency Services take the issue of fireworks very seriously and the use of fireworks in a public area will not be tolerated. Event stewards will report to the police any people letting off fireworks.

6.00pm - Belgrave Flyover & Belgrave Road Closed
6.45pm - Stage Entertainment at Cossington Street Rec Ground
8.30pm - Firework Display Begins
8.50pm - Firework Display Ends
9.30pm - Belgrave Road Re-opens
