The Leicester Museums Technology Association (LMTA) is a volunteer group based at Abbey Pumping Station and currently has over a 100 members.
Volunteers have a wide range of skills and interests and work at the museum on Monday evenings and weekends. The LMTA organise fund raising activities through the ever popular steam and other events held throughout the year. The volunteers also take a vital role in assisting with the conservation and restoration work of the museum site and its exhibits.
