The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall visited the newly-refurbished Newarke Houses Museum on Friday 8th February 2008.
The royal visitors were given a full tour of the museum, which re-opened to the public in June 2007 following a major refurbishment. The refurbishment was funded by a £1 million Heritage Lottery Fund grant and a further £250,000 each from Leicester City Council and the Royal Leicestershire Regimental Association.
