Members of the public have an opportunity to give their views regarding their local parks and green spaces. The city council has joined forces with GreenSpace, a national charity promoting parks and gardens, to develop a new questionnaire for people to give their views and opinions on their local parks and the services provided.

The Million Voices campaign aims to get a snapshot of the state of parks across the country and members of the public are encouraged to complete questionnaires. The questionnaires feed into a large database and will provide park managers with information about the people using local parks and how these places and services can be improved.

Parks staff carry out interviews from time to time and there is also a dedicated website that allows questionnaires to be completed online, which can be found by going to www.greenstat.org.uk
