Abbey Park Bowling Club

Abbey Park Bowling Club is the oldest in Leicester, having been founded in 1872, at the same time as Abbey Park itself was opened.  Celebrating the 125th Anniversary in 2007, the bowling club will be encouraging any member of the public and their families to come to the park on Sunday 27th May 2007 and Monday 28th May 2007 and have a go, ably assisted by qualified instructors if required.

A friendly mixed club, situated close to the city centre, on bus routes and car parking on site, welcomes anyone wanting to play bowls.  Friendly matches are played on Thursday and Saturdays throughout the season, April - October, and teams regularly participate in County and Leicester Parks competitions.
