Play Rangers
Who are Play Rangers?
Play Rangers are experienced Play Workers. Play Rangers will work with children and young people aged from 8 – 16 years old on Parks and Open Spaces across Leicester City. The Play Rangers hold current CRB checks and are qualified in First Aid.
What will they do?
The Play Rangers are there to support children and young people to participate in play opportunities and encourage the use of parks and open spaces. Play Rangers will provide equipment and materials for a whole range of different activities including:
Crafts
Sports
Model making
Den building
The actual activities will depend on the children and young people as their ideas are welcomed and encouraged.
The sessions may include activities, which will be messy so we recommend that children and young people come to sessions in suitable clothing.
Open Access Sessions
The Play Ranger sessions are Open Access this means that children and young people can turn up and leave anytime they want to – Play rangers will not stop them from leaving a session. The sessions are FREE and will take place in all weathers.
