A new weekly run, based on an idea that started in London six years ago has come to Leicester. Braunstone Parkrun took place for the first time at Braunstone Park on Saturday 25th September 2010 and attracted participants from all over the county and beyond. It continues to take place every Saturday at Braunstone Park.
Everyone is welcome to attend the free weekly 5k timed run, jog or walk open to all abilities. Whether you are interested in taking part as an established runner, wannabe runner or simply to improve your health and fitness, then Parkrun is for you.
Parkrun begins at 9am each Saturday meeting near to Braunstone Hall in the Centre of Braunstone Park.
