Disability Sport in Leicester City

 

The Sports Regeneration Unit can provide accessible activities and programmes for all young people with disabilities across Leicester.

 

This includes the following services:

  • Organises weekly sports and multi skills programmes
  • Co-ordinates specialised disability events and fun days
  • Runs inclusive holiday schemes during the summer, Easter and half-term school holidays
  • Locates funding for sports projects and for any specific needs of a young person (e.g. one to one support)
  • Ensures quality and equity within coaches, equipment and facilities
  • Works in partnerships to run sports competitions across Leicester-Shire, including the Leicester-Shire and Rutland Inclusion Youth Games.
