Adult and Housing Equality Policy

Adult Social Care will treat everyone with respect and fairness, in providing services and employment.  We want to make sure our services are fair and meet individuals needs.

Adult Social Care will meet the needs of our service users and make sure our staff are trained to do so.

We are in line with the Council’s equality agenda.

We know certain groups are treated differently and get unfair services.  This can happen because of their ethnicity, race, gender, disability, sexual orientation, age, religion or belief and other reasons.  We also know that people can be treated unfairly for more than one reason.

We will deal with service users and their carers needs.  We know services have to change for people, as everyone is not the same.

If you are not happy with a service you can complain by getting in touch with us via our complaints line for Adult Social Care on 0116 252 8327 / 252 8326.   We will get in touch with service users to ask what they think about our services.
