The aim of the Workforce Development Unit is that:
People, children and families who use social care services in Leicester know the workers and managers are skilled and knowledgeable.
All staff treat people with respect and assist them to make choices and have control over the support they receive so that they stay safe, improve their lives and achieve their aspirations.
What do we do?
We advise on the range of qualifications from induction, NVQ, social work, post qualifying, through to management awards and on best practice in managing people.
We work with City Council staff and those employed in private and voluntary social care organisations and partner agencies like health, the police, and Connexions.
