The Workforce Development Unit is committed to supporting people to meet their learning potential and to provide an excellent service to the people of Leicester.  We work closely with operational managers and employers to support workforce development

We can also work with teams or individuals to plan, deliver and evaluate learning events.

Learning activities and qualification routes are open to people who use services and carers, the independent sector, the voluntary sector and other statutory sector organisations.  They are delivered in partnership with people who use services, carers and other professionals.

Learning activities include training events, briefings, conferences, practice learning, mentoring, e-learning and materials such as books/DVDs.

We are committed to supporting people’s learning from Induction, through to Qualification and Post-Qualification.  This includes all types of practice assessment (e.g. Social Work students and NVQ) and the training of other people to provide learning activities.
