Foster Carer Training

We offer a range of learning and development opportunities to meet the demanding needs of Foster Carers.

These ensure that Foster Carers are trained in the skills required to provide high quality care to Looked After Children and Young People placed with them.

Our learning and development programme focuses on key national developments within childcare services and Every Child Matters outcomes. They support the learning needs of the Foster Carer and include the following training programmes:

An annual Fostering Learning and Development plan ensures that Foster Care Minimum Standards are met and that opportunities are available to Foster Carers to share their skills and knowledge.
