Title: Legal Basis of Community Care

Target Group: All adult and older persons, social work/commissioning team and reviewing teams, anyone who is completing community care assessments, support/care plans and community care reviews

 

This event is not suitable for people who work in the above roles in the independent & voluntary organisations.

 

Learning Outcomes: (what you would expect to achieve)

Explore all relevant aspects of community care law and the implications for adult social care staff including personalisation and self directed support.

Apply law to typical case studies.

Allow opportunity for staff to reflect upon and ask questions about their practice and experience of dilemmas.

Enable staff to be confident in their application of community care law.

Make staff aware of recent practice and policy guidelines and how these affect practice.
