Medication (Safe Handling of)

On-Line Learning

This programme is designed for all care staff whose duties may bring them into contact with medication.  It will provide learners with a thorough understanding of the principles and practices of working with medicines.  You will receive tutor support and be expected to complete within a 16 week period.

Unit 1  Introduction to Medicines and Prescriptions

Unit 2 Medicine Supply, Storage and Disposal

Unit 3 Safe Administration of Medicines

Unit 4 Quality Control and Record Keeping

Unit 5 Accountability, Responsibility and Confidentiality
