Title: Personal Budgets (one day course)

Target Group: All social care workers involved in commissioning / delivering support packages.

Learning Outcomes: (What you would expect to achieve)

•Understand Leicester City Council’s targets in terms of personalisation and personal budgets. (Including Right to Control)

•Discuss the importance of holistic, person centred self assessment in the personal budgets process

•Recap on the RAS process, and dispel myths about RAS / Spend guidance.

• Hear from people who have used Personal Budgets via Direct Payments. “What it really means for my life.”

•Explain the procedures needed when working through Assessment – RAS – Personal Budget – Direct payment
