Title: Positive Risk Taking Workshops

 

Dates: 7th June 2012, 5th September 2012, 14th January 2013 (these are half day sessions: am or pm available)

 

Target Group: 

 

Adult Social Care and Safeguarding Division:
Locality General Managers, Team Leaders, SWs, Care Management Officers, Occupational Therapists, Dementia Care Advisors, Brokerage Workers and Team Support Workers (including Mental Health Teams).

 

Care Services Division
All social care managers and supervisors in EPHs, Intermediate Care Services, Day Opportunities, and Shared Lives. Managers in Sheltered Housing, Managers and Support Workers in ICST and SIT teams. Contracting Unit -all contracts officers and their managers.

 

Objectives:  (what you could expect to achieve)

  •  
    1. To hear the latest information on the Positive Risk Taking agenda, illustrated with local and national examples.
    2. To consider how a positive risk taking approach is currently applied within Leicester City Council.
    3. To hear about why this approach is important for Leicester City Council.
    4. To engage in discussion about future support needed in this area to enable positive risk taking.
