Safeguarding Adults

There is a multi agency Safeguarding Adults competence framework to determine the level of knowledge and skills that you need to keep people safe from harm and abuse in Leicester.

The training to support the competence framework has a building block approach. This means you need to do certain courses before you can do others.

The competencies and the training courses you need to do will depend on the kind of contact you have with the public and the kind of work you undertake with people.

Below are only examples of the kind of job roles but you need to decide based on the work that you do. If you need advice about the training courses you need, please contact the Workforce Development Unit (Tel 0116 221 1700).

You can download a copy of the Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland Multi-Agency Safeguarding Adults Competencies Framework here.
