Target Group: Only for approved Mental Health Professionals and their Managers. This event is not suitable for people in the independent & voluntary organisations.

Learning Outcomes (what you would expect to achieve)

Leicester City has a nominal 12 places per event.  Early nomination is therefore recommended.

A one day training event, for all Approved Mental Health Professionals and their Managers.

• To explore the interface between the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, and the implications this has for Approved Mental Health Professional practice

• To support Approved Mental Health Professionals and their managers in making decisions about the potential uses of the legislation in Approved Mental Health Professional assessments.

• This event will count towards the statutory CPD requirement.
