Target group: People who work with children and young people. This event is suitable for people in the above role who work in the independent and voluntary sector.

  • To consider the concepts of risk and dangerousness as they apply to families

  • To identify and examine the impact of hostility and fear upon staff and its consequences for the effective safeguarding of children

  • To identify and explore strategies and methods of working with families who are perceived to be dangerous.
