Enabling Learning Module

Supervising Social Work Students

If you are interested in supervising social work students, please contact the Practice Learning Team.

The best first step is to become an on-site practice supervisor and work alongside an off-site practice educator. For more information see Supporting Social Work Students - Learning Opportunity

Enabling Learning Module:  This trains participants to become a practice educator and supervise and assess social work students while they are on placement.  It is advised that participants have had some involvement with supervising students before starting this course.

You can do the Enabling Learning Module at De Montfort University or Leicester University. The next De Montfort University Programme is September 2011. Further details are included in the document below.

Application forms are available from Zubair Mulla, tel: 0116 2211702 or e-mail Zubair.Mulla@leicester.gov.uk.
