Post Qualifying Specialist Award in Social Work with Adults

 

This programme is run in partnership with other agencies within the East Midlands region and De Montfort University.  Candidates can either do the BA route and gain BA academic credits or the MA route and gain MA academic credits.  These can be used to gain a BA (Hons) degree or an MA degree.  Both routes have the same teaching but candidates are set different assignments. You need to have done PQ1 or the Consolidation module before progressing to the specialist module.

 


 

Consolidation Module

 

Target Group: Qualified Social Workers in an adult setting. Mental Health Social Workers should undertake Post Qualifying Award in Mental Health (AMHP). Social Workers who do not work for Leicester City Council should contact De Montfort University.

 

 

The closing date for applications is the 21st June 2010 for a September 2010 start. Application forms are available from Zubair Mulla, tel: 0116 2211702 or e-mail Zubair.Mulla@leicester.gov.uk. Electronic versions are not available.

 


 

 

Specialist Modules

 

Target Group: Qualified Social Workers who have completed the PQ Consolidation Module in adults. Social Workers who do not work for Leicester City Council can contact De Montfort University to access this qualification.

 

 

 

The next specialist modules are due to start in April 2011. The closing date for applications is the 21st February 2011. You need to have completed either the PQ1 or Consolidation module before starting the Specialist modules.
